Previews+advance is well ahead of sonic at the same point but previews by itself is below sonic(especially at MTC2). I still think it will make up by the time movie opens. But I am not predicting OW at this point. it could go either way at this point.

I think the Thurs numbers will be *very* difficult to interpret until a few days after the advance have passed.
 

I.e. right before it opens, lol. We have no mtc tracking for Aquaman, Shazam, WttJ, etc because they were too long ago, but II wonder if there was a noticeable effect for Downton/Knives

Downton: $2.2m early previews / $2.1m Thur previews; OW including all previews : $31m

 

Knives Out: $2.03m early Friday & Saturday 7pm previews/ $1.9m previews (Tues Night): 3/5 day : $26,769,548    / $41,414,093   

 

Impact of early previews on later previews seems to be slight if compared to Hustlers: $2.5m previews ($33m) and FvF: $2.1m - $31.47m

Knives Out did over index way more than usual at MTC for previews. I did not tracking advance showings for Knives out and so I dont know it over indexed because of that. Anyway let us wait and see how things go for onward.

Onward Saturday sneak preview showing finally went up at my local NYC theater.    As of this morning it's  53/160 seats.  That more seats sold than for it's 4 showings combined for next weeks previews (37/1242) and just 3 less than Sonic had sold as of Tues 5pm (56/771) the week it opened.

No change in PS narrative. I am thinking this is looking at 2m previews. Gemini Man did 1.6m with MTC1 premium shows dominating its PS as well. I am hoping this movie does better overall with better reviews. I will wait till wednesday before fine tuning OW prediction based on ratio of OD PS vs Previews PS. At least trend from past 2 days is towards OD PS and that is good news.

Its hugely overindexing at MTC1. OD PS continue to be higher than Preview PS which is good news. I think its good for 20m. How much higher I dont know at this point. Let us see where things are on thursday.

Starting to see shows at MTC1 plexes for Mulan. Still not available for sale. Though it looks imminent. I thought it would start today but its looking like tomorrow. 

 

Empire 25 has 10 shows( 2 Dolby, 2Imax, 2 3D and 4 2D). So its taking all PLF except Prime. LS13 has not listed its shows yet. 

 

Overall based on quick check, release is bigger than Onward but not big enough to get @Porthos interested 🙂
