So as one can probably deduce, I was able to reintegrate exactly one Cinema West location tonight into the track.  It's a small dine-in theater that is re-opening on the 8th (it was so small that the various caps must have made in impractical to reopen).  I noticed it having seat maps a few days ago, but I was unable to buy any tickets.  Just checked again tonight, and for whatever reason (either because it's opening on the 8th, or because the system Cinema West is using thinks the seats are already properly distanced) I am able to 100% verify each and every seat sold there.

 

Now it's not very many tickets added to the total.  But this particular theater tends to sell its seats much closer to release date, except for the biggest of movies.  So adding 11 sold tickets now isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

 

Am dithering about adjusting it for the F9 comp.  The theater is/will be closed throughout the F9 pre-sale track, so it'll never be a factor for F9 pre-sales.  On the other hand, I usually don't comp for a theater (re-)opening locally for a variety of factors.  So I'll probably not adjust for that going forward and, well, just treat it like it is: A new theater.

 

(For the record, this was the last theater in the region that was closed.  So as of BW the Greater Sacramento Region will be fully armed and operational)

F9, counted today at 10am EST for Friday (I stay with Friday because the Thursday is already covered very well by several members and it's also a problem that for Thursday some theaters report Sell Outs and I never know if they are true or not):

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 479 (10 showtimes)
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 208 (8 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 124 (12 showtimes)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 4 (4 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 34 (5 showtime)

Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 1.656.

Comps: It's in front of Hobbs & Shaw which had also on Monday of its release week 1.234 sold tickets in these 7 theaters (so F9 = 1.34x H&S at the moment). In two of my theaters F9 is way behind H&S: in Texas and San Francisco. And 3x it's comfortable in front: in Miami, Michigan and LA. In NY and Arizona F9 is ca. on par with H&S.
AQP II had on Monday for its previews on Thursday in the same 7 theaters 747 sold tickets.

Overall that's a good number for F9 but H&S had a very good jump till Wednesday (1.941 tickets but F9 is already today not far behind that number) and then a mediocre one from Wednesday to Thursday.

It's doing pretty good, running at 86% of TLK's pace as of 2 days ago with a normal comp. Still on target to be at 86% of it in 2 days. But that's only in 6 comparable theaters. With the same adjustments that I'm using for the final count comp, the T-19 days comp would be 16M. Tons of uncertainty with this though, so I wouldn't take the number value too seriously. But it's at least doing well with sales compared to TLK
