Making another Suicide Squad movie was always going to be a risk but I suppose they're looking at the long term; making a good movie that does just alright box office wise but helps improve the image of the overall brand could yield higher results for other related projects down the road, that's how I see it anyway.

I would view "just alright" as a really positive result at this stage. Right now it's looking at an awful performance.

Jacksonville weekend sales by day with comps.  All taken Tuesday morning before release (Hitman's previews were on Tuesday).  A little surprised by Old's Friday number; only other movie with that big of a leap from Thu to Fri since I've been tracking is In the Heights.

The Black Widow number is extrapolated, I took Day 5 and Day 7 but not Day 6, but it won't be far off the real number. Either way the numbers are extremely low. Obviously Black Widow is not the best comp but even the Th/Fri ratio looks decently frontloaded (not as much as BW but definitely more so than F9).

Okayyyy.....so it seems that Cineplex my overall total numbers changed, it seems like (for this film anyway, have to check others), they're showing total seats available at TOTAL, but as seats get bought, they are "deducting" additional seats to maintain the 50 percent rule. That's why Im thinking I have less TOTAL seats than last time, don't break head trying to do math LOL. Im doing snake eyes update next see if the pattern does continue there.

Yep, what I thought Cineplex seems to be counting from total available seats THEN removing additional seats after seats bought to make the 50 percent rule. So, what im going to do in future till we go back to full theatres, I will do the adjusted seat reduction per theatre. I didn't on this one, and then give total amount of seats at end. Now I can keep do a total seats removed count like I did with the OLD count, or I can just put total number of seats and let you guys calculate the diff in your calculations. Man this gonna be a pain with the constant "changing" of available seats that get removed in addition to bought seats

I wish I had other family comps I could use here (I have Space Jam, but that overindexed), if only because I feel Cruella might have underperformed here.
