Really? That's disappointing. Focus dropped Stilwater in 2500 (of course Damon is a bigger star). Less than their wide releases of Downton Abbey, Harriet, Hanna, The American. Zookeeps Wife opened to 500 but hit 1000 few weeks after

Yeah I posted it a few days from the BoxOffice Pro site. I am a Paul Schrader fan so I was disappointed with that as well. Maybe it will expand later but seems doubtful.

I would be surprised if Card Counter didn't end up closer to 700-800 theaters. Gotta be a handful of 8-12 screen multiplexes that pick it up since there's only Shang-Chi, Malignant, and three holds taking up screen space.

Edit: Show Me the Father is also getting a bit of screen space too

That 1 is getting 1000 screens.

I mean I think Zookeeper's Wife style expansion is the plan here. Those other movies had more going for them (sorry Oscar and Paul), and this is just a typical "small theaters, build WOM, expand from there" kind of deals.

What were your final Regal numbers for previews @katnisscinnaplex and @Eric and the Ten Rings.

I have Sacramento at 1488 and Denver at 660.

1,097. Remember that two of my Regals closed on Thursday due to the floods

Did an eyeball of Falmouth Flagship. Both Saturday and Sunday it look pretty even. It’s a Sunday is like 80% of Saturday. And it’s only 3 PM. And Considering her walk up heavy the area is, My theater will probably sell out for the weekend.

Excellent. Looking at solid increase. Saturday BO tend to taper off earlier but there is still time.

by solid you mean single digit % wise or higher  ?

I dont know for sure. Saturday BO is different. Gross wise its at 3/4th of overall friday by 2PM. Let us revisit at 8PM time frame when we can compare relative grosses. Plus MTC share should go down further down as well.

It looks like around 10% increase to me but we will know more in the night (especially once our Comscore trackers weigh in).

Just updated around 430 and its 9% down in MTC1 in gross and MTC2 about 6%. It depends on how strong the late shows are. 10% is reasonable projection at this point considering a few % bump with lower MTC ratio.

Uh, 9% down? That seems pretty bad this late in the day.

Edit: On second thought 9% down at the same point does not make sense with the number you posted earlier today. Do you mean 9% down vs the final Friday number?

West coast has barely starting going at 4:30. I assume that is where a lot of the late strength came from yesterday.

Yeah if it's 9% and 6% down from final I would consider that quite strong. At first I interpreted it as down from the same point in time. I would have considered the latter disastrous since based on the earlier update it was running around 5-10% ahead of what I would have estimated Friday's gross at that point (was expecting the ratio to increase until evening shows and then decrease again to around 10%).

Oh yeah, lol. This is my interpretation, vs same point would be awful but keyser gave as % of final previously.
