Shang Chi Saturday PS END

MTC1 - 139106/1143731 1896269.51 6401 shows

MTC2 -  92524/960531 1031274.17 6726 shows

Shang Chi Sunday

MTC1 - 112014/1071207 1484691.86 6012 shows

MTC2 - 70282/917848 732461.59 6527 shows

So PS has dropped around 20% at MTC1 and high 20's% in MTC2. Let us see how the day goes.

2 hours difference won’t amount to much I suppose, but just 8PM on a weekend for the west so not nothing either. Looks more like an 11% drop perhaps than 6% I had been hoping for, but PSm could always get higher increase so we’ll see. Either way, confirms there won’t be an unexpected Sun crash cascading an F9 miss.

not 2 hours. For you I tried to check again its at 119783/1071142 1583143.26 and 75986/918862 791530.04. Still down mid teens at MTC1 and 23% at MTC2. Let us see if it makes up tomorrow with walkups.

Ah, the Sat post was showing 22 hours ago at the time so I just subtracted, but must have been thrown off by rounding. Anyway with MTC1 as much bigger, overall PS gross looks down quite close to BP, which led to 9% gross drop.

SC Saturday

MTC1  - 398521/1156639 5307132.39 6613 shows

MTC2 - 305303/992089 3443140.57 6834 shows

Excellent day. Thinking around 24m saturday.

These jumps suggest 11-12% jump but CS numbers suggests $23-23.25M only. Probably confirms that THU actuals were around $9-9.1M.

One reason for low bump will be Canada I suppose. They cant grow much on FRI with sort of numbers they had for it. One reason for sub par TUE growths recently is TUE aren't growing much in Canada due to seating restriction. Local Indian movies are actually dropping on TUE in Canada as they can only sell so many tickets, gross taking a hit due to discount.

23-23.25 is...an 11-12% jump though.

11-12% was being a conservative, MTC numbers did suggest $24M 😛

Anyhow I got the chains data, will be spending time on it tomorrow with free mind, so we can get the idea why our previews seems to bit off sometimes. Though one major thing I noticed, I have DMed.

Yeah I saw that. Another point regarding the Saturday is that we are getting this data with a couple of hours to go, and since Friday late nights are equal to or greater than Saturday the ratio would decrease in those two hours.

Looking at chains data, reason is Canada didn't grow like US. Due to seating restrictions, there was very little scope to grow.

I was not planning on tracking. Dont even have showlist for MTC2 at this point.

MTC1 just now

275194/1076602 3511681.61 6130 shows

Probably headed towards low teens drop.

This seems like 97% of Saturday at the same point. Are you expecting night shows to be that weak? Holiday Sunday should be able to keep the pace for the most part.

You are right. I got the time wrong.

SC Sunday

MTC1 - 388513/1076709 5119971.72 6130 shows.

That is < 4% drop.

I know you’re a busy guy with a life and don’t want to bother you overly, but am I likely to see a Mon comparison soon or should I just put it out of my mind.
