Great start. It's running behind BW here, at 7 hours, BW was at 598 sold. I'll do another update around that 17-18 hour mark so we can have a better look with the comps I used. So, we'll see if it can have a better evening than BW.

I think most people are still buying Dune for next week? So it should pick up later

Yeah this would make sense for some places. I was thinking the same thing for Megaplex, though it’s pacing ahead of SC unlike your theater. But with how big of an overperformance it looks like Megaplex will have with Dune, it would stand to reason that people aren’t as worried about getting Eternals tickets yet.

The logic of that makes sense, but on the other hand, Dune is doing really well at MTC1, and Eternals is crushing it there even compared to MTC2.

True, but we are talking national vs regional. I wouldn’t really expect to see that kind of thing on a national level unless we’re talking about people not worrying about buying tickets for a 60M OW level film when a 200M OW level film comes out before it.

I mean, Dune looks like a 100M+ OW level film for Megaplex compared to SC and BW.

What would The Last Duel have to make opening weekend in order to classify as a success? What are you guys currently predicting it would do?

Do we know the budget on that one?

It’ll open to 8-10m. Finish with like 20-25m DOM. No idea about overseas but will be under 100m WW for sure. Maybe like 60? It’s not going to classify as a success. But if it overperformed OW, the headlines will be good

Its an epic medieval movie so it wasn’t cheap. Probably over 60m

It's so good seing a "New" property generating so much buzz.

In one hand it's sad seeing that pretty much only Marvel manage to start new succesful franchises these days, but still it's incredible seeing a bunch of C List heroes getting so much attention in a year where pretty much all the successes was sequels.

Not sure if this guy knows what he's talking about or not. Take this news with a grain of salt.

Sounds like a crank to me, just look how far behind BW it is in some of our regionals ;)

Solo was tracking to be bigger than Black Panther too.:hahaha:

Not here, it was way under Rogue One since day 1, then on final week it was terrible and pretty much everyone was expecting to be extremelly frontloaded and overall bad.

Media usually missed the point, just look the 100M articles for NTTD.
