That's bcos Imax/Dolby dominates the sales. Look at empire 25.Top 5 is all PLF and that too with Prime(not dolby) doing that well. These days that is true for any movie. That's why I was surprised to see Charlie tweet that Dune is doing well only in Imax/PLF. That is nothing abnormal.

The ratio is more than other films. The pre-sales are PLFs heavy till final weeks. Lincoln Square 13 and Empire 25 were double of Shang Chi but overall sales were a bit low in MTC 1.

Yeah, I know it’s PLFs. But having a high PLF% driving high atp is harder/more impressive the bigger total nums are imo (of course these are just day 1, so overall nums will go waaaaay up and PLF% way down over the course of the run — but for day 1 I think this PLF% is impressive for the total sales.

Great start. It's running behind BW here, at 7 hours, BW was at 598 sold. I'll do another update around that 17-18 hour mark so we can have a better look with the comps I used. So, we'll see if it can have a better evening than BW.

Took a look at @Porthos' notes and adjusted the BW comp by dividing by 0.955. All in all, a very solid day. Didn't quite catch up to BW, but the comps are great.

Very nice first day.  Decided that Venom: Let There Be Carnage and F9 were dumb comps for now.  I'll rope in V2 eventually and F9 (and maybe others) closer to the end.

Not much else to say that hasn't been said by others.

Maybe this is another way consumer to release their pent-up demand, they may become more willing to purchase premium format than usual.

I don't have BW comp but first 4 days of sales was ~1700 admits. Not entirely sure if Eternals can reach there in 4 days, so let's see. I guess West coast is bit lower than Black Widow while East is over for Eternals.

That Shang Chi comp shall drop in coming days (right :hahaha:)

The BW numbers are 5 days of sales vs 4 days of Shang Chi but BW was just 3 days away from release, so. About 34% of BW, with 2 weeks of sales to go. Quite solid IMO.

1 day vs 3 for Shang Chi. Quite good actually considering Canada over indexed for Shang Chi. Should be able to match Shang Chi in next 3 days.
