Tonight's Early Access numbers say it all. This particular MTC is going to massively overperform compared to the rest due to Dolby, so comps are somewhat useless.

 

Antlers:

It's pacing around Night House's level, but standard sales are far above Soho's heavy Dolby skew.

I'm honestly surprise it didn't get a second screen. Sales are far behind Demon Slayer, but as a younger skewing anime, it should hold well into the weekend. 7-9M sounds right.

Getting some weird errors with shows (just a fraction of them but enough to mess with pace comps) not returning data. Will give it until tomorrow morning, hopefully it's some website error by MTC2 that resolves by then, and I can give reliable numbers.

Today was Black Widow's review drop day, so all in all the BW comp didn't take as much of a hit as it could have.  Pace isn't exactly great though, as it's pretty much stagnant from yesterday. 

 

Starting tomorrow, those Cinema West locations start to be rolled back into the BW comp (two tomorrow, the last on Thur), so starting Thursday the BW comp will be unadjusted once again, and might jump around a bit due to the extra info being added to the comps.

 

Not much else to add, as everyone else has pretty much already said it.

I am surprise by change of direction in  Eternals' PS, but I remember similar downfall happened to FG, and Candyman before the last minute comeback. Is it possible for Eternals to strike back?? or RT law set in stone?

 

An opening lower than SC is not good at all.

So both comps point to ca. 7M true Friday, seems a bit high, even with frontloadedness.

It seems that The French Dispatch is not doing that bad where it gets showtimes. The problem is that it gets so few shows. Idk if this is the standard in other regions too?
