Really depends on what you're looking for, but usually the most important takeaway for just a casual glance is the comp.  More on that in a bit.   But even that is highly dependent on a movie being either in a similar genre or having a similar pre-sale pattern as folks will buy tickets at different times during a pre-sale window thanks to a very long list of factors.   Add in that movies will have different promotional schedules during their pre-sales (review embargoes, TV ca

I did get Megaplex and Drafthouse NWH Wed numbers, but the comps were obviously gonna be wrong. Against Monday’s numbers, Drafthouse was suggesting 23M and Megaplex 38M. Looks more realistic today, but I don’t know if I’ll post the numbers because being off by even 1-2M could mean a lot. I’ve mostly been running the numbers to see how feasible it actually is to do midday comps

As per the responses esp the laughter, yea-for a friday show there's a lot of "0"s in the seat sold dept in those theatres. A number of theatres didn't even have the imax showings, just avx/3d/Regular showings. I mean I get its Christmas eve, but generally alot of people go out Xmas eve as a pre-Christmas tradition type thing, but not in Matrix case it seems in Toronto at least.
