The Star 0/50, 0/50, 0/50 for 0/150 (all is not lost, since it's 11, 1, and 3pm shows on Sat/Sun have all sold tickets from 4-29 - yup, optimism:)...

Okay, so 23 hours later, here's where we are for all 3 movies...

1st local

JL 3d 25/125, 2/125 for 27/250 (up 1)

2nd local

JL 3d 64/90, 37/90 for 101/180 (up 6)

JL 2d 132/170 (few good seats left - only front row and sides of row 2), 115/170 for 247/340 (up 10)

JL/WW Special 23/125 (up 1)

JL Total 371/645 (up 17) - it needs to add some 2d showings, which I expected by now, but we'll see tomorrow...

Wonder 37/110, 4/110 for 41/220 (up 11)

The Star 0/50, 0/50, 0/50 for 0/150 (no surprise, since its previews are not where it's making any money except for JL overflow:)...

Yes...and no...I was hoping the 2nd local would have posted its extra 2d screens by now to jump its sales there...I know they're coming b/c it booked 3 screens for the weekend already, but only has preshows on 2...and supers sell well at this local...

It is good for 1st local b/c supers never sell as well there...

I have to check my old Thor numbers to try to find a straight comparison - I usually post them to the board, but don't keep them, and I haven't had time to wade through my posts:)...

Okay, so updating my 2 locals...1st added 1 show and 2nd added 2, so here's the current sales...the increases are from Sunday sales with all new shows total increases

1st local Thursday previews
Thor (2 3d, 3 2d) - 2 3d 62/90 (up 5), 42/90 (up 31), 2 2d 99/125 (up 5), 77/125 (up 20), NEW 2d show 57/90

2nd local Thursday previews

Thor (2 3d, 4 2d) 3d 21/175 (up 13), 4/185 (up 2)  2d 129/175 (up 40), 115/185 (up 41), NEW 2d Shows 41/125, 21/60

Total Thor 2d (across both theaters) 539/710

Total Thor 3d (across both theaters - this version is not really selling as well) 129/540

Total Thor 668/1250 (276 tickets sold since Sunday)

Here were my 2 locals on the Thursday morning before open...yes, it now seems JL is just slightly below them at 648 tickets already...but the locals did add tons of showings last minute (although they were small theaters) and I didn't grab the last minute Thor #s...

EDIT: And for those wondering, I swapped my locals in that post for some reason, so I guess that Regal local did add Thor preplanned showings very last minute, just like I know is coming for JL...

EDIT PART 2: I will try to grab a straight comparison tomorrow morning around the same time, now that I found this to see if JL has passed Thor (and if more showings were added, and if so, how many)...

  Are you rooting for The Star to have your early predictions be right or do you somehow think it looks like a good movie that deserves to do well?

@TwoMisfits has been stanning for The Star for ages, the $7-9m OW predictions from tracking suggests no one else cares as much

Hey, weren't we saying all the predicts are too low?:)  And don't forget, it's my favorite OW of the year so far - I'm stanning all 3 movies, so they'll all crash and burn and I'll sigh, or they'll all blow tracking out of the water and I'll be very, very happy (I gotta beat $110M JL, $9M Wonder, and $9M Star...that can happen:)...

You seem to be actively stanning against because you other than TwoMisfits and occasionally myself are one of the only other people who brings it up.

JL @ Mclean Tysons AMC

Total $10,430.73 up from ~$9000 about 24 hours ago

Dolby

6pm - 113/245  (up 12)

935pm - 113/245 (up 22)

Imax

6pm - 86/461 (up 5)

855pm - 117/461 (up 22)

RealD

7pm- 19/291 (up 2)

1010pm - 1/291 (flat)

Regular

6pm – 12/291 (up 2)

8pm - 55/291 (up 8)

1030pm – 1/162 (new)

1055pm - 30/291 (flat)

*I won't clutter this with comps til tomorrow as they aren't direct comps as far as timing, but it's in alright shape as long as it picks up from here.  Only one showing added to what was there before but plenty of capacity left at all times so that make sense.

Fandango Meter: 12:25-12:30am (Wed)

JL: 37.2 avg

Comps for this hour and rest of the day

SM:HC:  39 avg (12:30pm) 42 avg (3pm) , 54.2 (4pm)

Thor 3:  49 (3:40), 47 (4:10pm)

WW:  45 (4pm)

IT:   90 (10:30pm)

4:10pm - 5 minute interval and yes I counted twice over the same repeated interval

JL: 36.5

Wonder: 5

Star: .6

JL and Wonder both slowed down a bit.  The Star though is continuing it's torrid pace of 3 tickets every 5 minutes.

WB's marketing is pretty much non-existant.

I keep having to remind myself this movie is 2 days away, with the way their marketing it  you'd think it's a month away.

School has had me swamped the last several weeks so I’ve been MIA but I had no clue Justice League was coming out this weekend. Like I completely forgot all about it.

Hopefully we are getting another big weekend though :)

I'm surprised at Thursday presales being an apparent weak point with JL mainly because I assume that's mainly the superfans.  I wouldn't have expected reduced turnout by that group by any significant amount...if that is what happens.

Maybe this'll be less frontloaded.
