A sub-$100M opening would be borderline catastrophic.

Honestly, this feels like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 all over again. Enthusiasm is low.

But even The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had a pretty good increase, in terms of OW, over the previous (62M vs 91.6M).

In fact, adjusted for ticket inflation, Amazing Spider-Man 2 is $98M. If JL goes to around that, that's beyond disappointment to be on that level.

So, can we keep a running tally of all the folks who say this is coming in under $100M this weekend, so we can either praise their box office predicting greatness or tease them mercilessly on Monday?:)  I know I've seen 4-5 already:)...

Who's said that?  And is it comparable in size to those who've been touting $150-160m or even those few souls talking up $180m?

Edit: I see 2 on the previous page who said it wouldn't surprise them, not that it would happen

Those are great numbers for NYC. It's ahead of Thor and should do on par with GOTG2. If the rest of the country follows...

It's comparative to GOTG2 in screen size (and it started out so much higher than all the others from this year)  but lagging in saturation and complete sellouts.  With 171 vs 88 reserved screens it has more than twice as many screens to check for near sellouts.
