Yes, EST

Interestingly it looks like while BP was well ahead of other CBMs on Mon to Wed on Fandango if it's averaging 107 per minute at 2:45-8pm it would now be significantly behind SM:HC, IT and Ragnok on Thur afternoon.  From other pre-sale numbers it could mean people really bought their tickets earlier than usual.

Well, if it's your belated Valentine's Day weekend plans, you'd want to show your date you had your tickets by today:).

I think we should see sales pick up a lot tomorrow

Well, yes.

Though I do worry that if the preview number isn't spectacular (however one defines spectacular) for BP that some folks will be disappointed for not having sky high expectations be met.

Haha it's all good! It happens to all of us. Personally, sometimes I think the only way I keep the days straight is by checking what the box office numbers are. :P

I don't have any direct comps for 6:30-7pm on Wed - only earlier and later.

WW: 45 (4pm),  SM: 54.2 (4pm),  Thor  47 (4:10pm),  JL: 36.6 (4:10pm) & 47 (5:30)  and for later -  IT: 90 (10:30pm)

So still well ahead of WW, SMH, TH, JL, and IT, and 25% behind TLJ. Am I right?

This can give it a 150-160m 3-day opening weekend.

Black Panther 3789 6689 56.65%

So Black Panther just doubled its showtimes tonight after almost every single previous show was sold out, and right now, its total seats are above The Last Jedi, and it'll probably pass Last Jedi's tickets sold by tomorrow or Wednesday. Also, my theater isn't getting Early Man or Samson.

giphy.gif

Black Panther (3-Day) 4663 5106 91.32%
Black Panther (4-Day) 5595 6587 84.94%

P.S. The Sunday 11:20 PM show was removed, which is why the totals are different.

Regardless, this film's 3-Day, with only one day left until previews, the only good comp I have, sold tickets-wise is TLJ, which is 115% of that film, which equals to an OW of...$254.2 million

Now I should mention that the theater I'm tracking generally gets a huge chunk of black customers (It got Marshall and Roman Israel over all of the other specialty movies this year, and Proud Mary is still playing here), so this does have a huge amount of bias towards BP's favor, so definitely don't expect this to make over TLJ, but still...

Drive-in finally checked in.  Couple of more theaters bumped up their counts as well.

Fun Fact:  That screen count for F/St/Su is only 5 screenings less than the F/St/Su count for The Last Jedi! :o

Okay, the preview night screen count is far less (121 vs 163).  Still... :o
