Interesting, so I went back to that point and yes Endgame is really dominating IW's sales for that weekend. BUT going a few pages ahead it seems like IW had a massive acceleration the following week. Hopefully EG gets the same

when the realese will keep getting closer and closer same thing will happen with endgame especially in the week of release and before but it could take a little longer than say iw as endgame had WAY BIGGER launch than iw did still i mean man endgame  is really dominaTING iw and it will do ganbuster like i said before in the last 2 weeks before release

It's possible. But even then Endgame's T-16 should be well above that, it's already pretty much equal to that level and has been increasing for most of today, and should continue to do so throughout the rest of the week.

We didn't have the 24 hour rolling tracker then, IIRC.  Checking the day that was posted (Tue), I presume it was from the reset Sun Night to roughly the time of posting.

 

EDIT::: Saw the first reference to the 24 hour tracker last September, so pretty sure that 34 hour was intentional given the day it was made. 

 

Getting back to the 24 hour tracker, there might have been some discussion about it a little earlier than that Sep link, but it doesn't appear to have been around this time last year.

 

Makes sense, as I recall manually adding up totals from the hourly tracker when Solo and DP2 were in their pre-sales.

Some data is hard to compare and find. One that I'm really interested in comparing though, is the 24 hour Thursday total (AKValley Pulse). For Infinity War, it was right at 206k for the night. If Endgame is at that mark, when you include all of the presales, that'll be huge for a record breaking weekend because it means that we're still getting good walkup business and people looking for tickets instead of having already gotten them. 

 

EDIT: By record breaking, I mean $300 million. I think $258m is locked at this point.

Back looking through numbers. This is from previews night for IW. 

 

I believe if Endgame wants a legitimate shot at $300m for the weekend, then these comparative theaters need have (roughly) 10% more showings.

Probably not a typo, could have been back in the days that I made and run my own application that was fetching fandango sales, not knowing about the website doing it.

Important to remember Endgame should have higher daily presales just simply because of AIW having a few more weeks of presales at every comp. It's more about by how much Endgame beats it that is staggering. Also definitely did not have last 24 hour akvalley data back then, the data I have below for Endgame was calculated before each weekly update hour by hour and others have done the same. Akvalley data was super recent last year at these days if I remember correctly anyway.

 

 06/04/2019 Endgame sold 11,697 tickets including marathons and all. 20 days before release.

 

Closest day comp is 09/04/2018 (monday) when AIW sold 10,677 tickets 18 days before release. (%91.2 of Endgame this saturday)

A saturday comp is 14/4/2018 when AIW sold 5602 tickets 13 days before release. (%47.8 of Endgame this saturday)

Another saturday comp is 21/4/2018 when AIW sold 11,957 tickets 6 days before release. (%102 of Endgame this saturday)
