also there is Cars 3. I think if it gets good reviews (not impossible considering Bob Petersen, who wrote many of the well received Pixar films, looks to be assisting with the script) it can get over 200m. Disney is promoting it pretty well

Yeah, I didn't discount it, but I thought it was more limited in audience than DM3...I'm cross-posting my summer top 15 from the summer game thread (which I didn't officially join b/c I wanted to see how it works...and man, it is a lot of work I gotta gear up to do next year:)...

1. Spiderman

2. Despicable Me 3

3. Wonderwoman

4. Guardians 2

5. Baywatch

6. Cars 3

7. Dunkirk

8. The Mummy

9. Captain Underpants

10. Rough Night

11. Emoji Movie

12. Valerian

13. The Dark Tower (okay, yes, I said not to put an August movie, but this is a special case...and it's under the other 2)

14. Transfomers 8 million

15. Pirates 5 too many

Note: Not only am I likely too high on Baywatch, but without another miracle, I'm probably too low on Pirates, but I hate really tired sequels of series I thought should have finished and wrapped and moved on, so I tend to use emotions to occasionally judge them:)...

i think a sequel pays for or reaps the reward of it's predecessor's quality in the ow.

barring rare scenarios, like im2's mixed wom not affecting im3 due to ta-bump, you got to pay for your past :)

irrespective of cars 3's legs and wom, it's ow gonna take a hit due to cars 2's quality imo.

thinking ~50 ow. 200+ would then need 4x like inside out

[cars 1 also did 4x back in the day but as an original film and before thu previews became a thing]

It has been long time since cars 2. This is like star wars where people want this film to be like OG.

I see 70+ OW and around 250.

Right, flip Spidey to the top, and GOTG to #4...and that's the summer order:)...(at least I said it was end of April, and I'm still sticking to it:)...

3 movies in summer going above gotg2 is....ambitious :)

I think all 3 - ww, dm3, spidey6 will fall below gotg2 cause:

-tough for dm3 to match dm2, once minions took away a lot of goodwill and changed it into some mxied-will :)

-spidey6 below spidey3 imo. at least below 350.

-ww below bvs. again, at least below 350.

bo is crazy but feel gotg2 is safe as #1 for the summer.

what are your numbers for dm3, spidey6 and ww?

If I could revise my Top 15 now, this is what I'd do:

1. GOTG: 370M (up 20M)

2. Spider-Man: 330M (no change)

3. Wonder Woman: 300M (up 20M)

4. DM3: 270M (down 50M)

5. POTC: 260M (no change)

6. Dunkirk: 230M (no change)

7. Cars 3: 210M (no change)

8. Planet of the Apes: 170M (no change)

9. The Mummy: 160M (down 70M)

10. Transformers: 150M (no change)

11. The House: 125M (up 45M)

12. Captain Underpants: 105M (down 20M)

13. Alien: 95M (down 65M)

14. Baywatch: 90M (down 45M)

15. Valerian: 75M (no change)

I posted them above, but in short form, I had GOTG at $330s, WW JUST above it, DM3 between $350-$375M ($368M of DM2 was the goal), and Spidey over $375 up to $400M.  With GOTG exceeding its start, I'm hoping everything pops up relative to the GOTG number, since I still think the order is right:)...

Then a big drop to #5...

I know holy shit  I showed up like half hour early for EE last night not wanting to get stuck in lines for alien or guardians crowds, but there were hardly any crowds at all. For anything really :(

well, i hope sat is better. maybe something to do with demographics in your place...do r-rated movies or genres like alien do worse usually?

I guess I should just rank ones I'm definitely seeing or might see in theaters...

1. Wonder Woman

2. Baywatch (tickets bought for OW)

3. Spidey

4. Despicable Me 3 (for the kids) (1st 4, we will 100% see in the theaters - Baywatch the only one as a date night, and not a family event)

5. Rough Night (this could be a Moms Night Out event for me)

6. Emoji Movie (depending on previews, this could make our list)

7. Captain Underpants (same as above)

8. Review dependent - I probably want one more summer date night movie (to fit around a few trivia night and free concert dates)

  a. Baby Driver looked insane enough for me, but would have to convince spouse

   b. Dunkirk might fit his wheelhouse...

   c. Valerian might also fit his desires...

Kids have said no to Cars 3 (take that for what you want - they saw the 1st 2 and the awful Planes)...they are undecided on Emoji and CU, but are yeses for Wonder Woman, Spidey, and DM 3 (with DM 3 the boys top choice and WW the girls top choice)...

I'm still not overly excited for WW despite the positive reactions, especially considering EC and BOZ weren't too hot on it. I need to hear from people like Ehrlich first before I start getting pumped.
