I though Cher was playing the grandmother in the flashback scenes.   But no, there she is all glamorous supposedly a generation older than Meryl, Walters, Brosnan and Skarsgard.   :lol:

 

Why didn't they get more Meryl for this?  Were they being cheap with her?  I can't believe it's because they hadn't much for her to do or she didn't want to do it again.

She was probably super busy filming both Mary Poppins and The Post so the creatives decided to focus on a young Streep played by Lily James

NGL, the first trailer was waaay better. 

 

This looks like a gay train wreck, and I Am Ready. They got me hook, line, and sinker when I heard the :15secs of Cher’s Fernando.

TBH They're banking on it doing big business OS, Mamma Mia! 1 did $414m OS alone so I imagine they're betting it does $250-300m OS to make up for a much lower domestic take
