I don't think the DCEU up to this point had bad WOM or good WOM.  All 3 previous films were divisive. I know people who adore Man of Steel and I'm one of them, it sold very well in home video sales, it had an okay audience rating on RT and it was close to being fresh, more critics gave it fresh than rotten.  

 

Batman v. Superman was somewhat restored by people enjoying the director's cut.  Some still hated but it was again divisive. 

 

Suicide Squad most people seemed to outright hate it but yet it had okay legs at the box office and sold huge on video. Why would that many people buy a film they hated?  I didn't like SS at all but numbers are numbers.

The only Emmerich films I dislike are 10,000 BC and White House Down. I like to love all of his other works.

I don't agree with any of those choices but the last one but different strokes for different folks. ID: Resurgence got trashed on many Youtube channels for being the worst thing ever and I watched movies last year (outside of the ones on the top 10 worst lists) that I thought were a a lot harder to get through.

Like people put Assassins Creed there and god Warcraft was that for me. Assassins Creed was completely forgettable but at least had some redeemable values. I know some people here liked Warcraft though.

That movie wasn't funny.  It was depressing.  I watched my favorite movie when I was 7 get slaughtered before my eyes.  It was terrible.

I think people forget about him. Bay and Synder have had hits. When was the last time Emmerich has had a hit?

They are just dumb movies though. 2012, Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day don't try to be anything they aren't. They don't try to stylize themselves or have some grander message (Snyder). They are just dumb CGI spectable turn your brain off disaster movies.

Geostorm looks like more of the same and I can't wait.
