Damn. It’s occurred to me these past few days that people really hate Gal Gadot. It probably won’t impact this film in any meaningful capacity, but she’s really become a punching bag lately.

Who cares? You post so many weird non-sequiturs on here

Someone else brought this up after that video she did last week. I just mentioned this now because it just occurred to me that she seems to be a magnet for controversy. And I don’t see how that’s a non-sequitur, considering that she’s the star of this movie.

It's such a small percentage of the movie-going community that "hates" her. And it's all so stupid. Who CARES that she was (required) to join the Israeli army?? She's literally posted once? ever? in support of the "fighting to stop". Which, sure, dumb, but whatever. That whole situation is so difficult to have an opinion on.

It had no effect on Wonder Woman, and it won't have an effect on WW84.

I was talking more about the people who have been mercilessly mocking her for the Imagine video. It seems like it’s going to take a while before she can live that one down.

KEY POINTS
  • AMC’s CEO hopes that locations will be able to open by mid-June.
  • Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Entertainment, admits that it is unclear exactly when the movie theater industry will be back on its feet in the wake of the coronavirus, but he’s certain moviegoers will be eager to return to cinemas.
  • Because of theater closures across the country and internationally, studios have been vacating their release dates through June and July.

Days later...  One down... will the rest fall?  Warner Bros. seems determined to be the first (and only?) beneficiary to post-virus cabin fever for theatres when they open for audiences.  The question is, will audiences slingshot back to theaters en masse?  Will theaters be asked to open with social-distancing seating for a while?  Will audiences be luke-warm when they return for a while?  All these will cut into box office potential, if and when things open up.  It's a high-stakes gamble that Warners is making...

I'm starting to think that the best option is:

-Wonder Woman 1984 (December on the "Dune" slot / March / May on the "Matrix 4" slot)

-The Suicide Squad (June on the "The Batman" slot / July on the "Space Jam 2" slot)

-The Batman (on the Halloween's weekend in October)

-Black Adam (same date)

No blockbuster will be released in July or August. Nobody cares about the ever moving release dates at the moment either, except a few people like us.

That's just one weekend before Multiverse Of Madness, which is shaping up to be a semi-Avengers film like Civil War (and with the possible involvement of Raimi, maybe more?). The Batman is better served swapping places with Suicide Squad. Or doing a Nolan and releasing in late July, with SS coming out in early June.

The next Spider-Man movie is currently still set for July.
