SDCC didn't help Shazam, Fantastic Beasts 2, Godzilla KOTM, and even Aquaman (the latter trailers and the WOM did the heavy lifting). Yeah, it's total waste of time.

 

I'm still hoping to get a trailer for Birds of Prey though next month though.

Cons are fan service events.  They're not well suited as a promotional spotlight because so much news and trailers are dropping over the course of a few days that everything ends up fighting for attention in the social media and news cycles that immediately follow.  If giving your fanbase a thrill is what you need, then they're good for that but little else.

It is a part of the Story. There were set photos of the set with signs that were used during the aids protests
