This will not be delayed until we see how COVID-19 plays out over the next couple of months.  Moving Bond was an extraordinary move, but one must also remember that EON/MGM largely operate without the backing of a massive Disney or Comcast/Universal complex... For Bond Producers Broccoli/Wilson, Bond is basically their only "thing" (and their one other thing, "The Rhythm Section," was shelved for years, and just bombed). 

 

Most other major studios can afford to wait this out a bit.

Realistically, Warner Bros. doesn't need to make a decision about delaying this film until early May. There is no rush. Let's see where things are two months from now. If WW84 were releasing, let's say around Easter, it's a conversation that would be happening right now.

I think most studios are waiting for Mulan before making a decision. I think WB might even end up waiting to see how Black Widow performs before delaying WW1984.

WB already stretched out the release date, as this could have met the initial plan (November 2019), but they thought Summer 2020 was a better date. I hope it doesn't get delayed again.

With E3 canceled, it's hard to see how WW84 would still open in June. And if WW84 moves, then so could the July releases as well. Already no tentpoles in April, and now we could have no tentpoles being released in May, June, even July. An awful situation for exhibitors all over the world.
