WW opened to way less than Guardians, Beauty and Beast, and Spiderman...

Openings aren't everything. WW out grossed every film of the summer.

And BatB wasn't summer by any definition

WW84 could do $200m/$550m opening in late April. Current date, $140m/425m

Test screening reports don't mean much, but if this is another winner I can see why every studio tried to get Dave Callahan to write a funnybook script for them (Wondy 2, Spider-Verse 2, Shang-Chi). Also, Pine is the best Chris

(note: IIRC it had the highest solo CBM debut at the time).

Nope. Not even close. However, it did have the best multiplier of any movie that opened to over $100 million, not counting Shrek 2, which opened on a Wednesday.

Not even in late April, what makes you think it’ll increase 100% on OW without a major factor.

This is important, does Cheetah look good?

If it's mo-cap it'd be unfinished CGI, so we can't tell this early. If it's practical then we'd already have an answer (unless they're giving it modifications in post)

Glad to hear good things about the film...the first film is so effortlessly endearing.

The test screenings last year for Crimes of Grindelwald were very very mixed...and the reception it received then turned out to be very accurate for when it was finally released.

Wonder Woman succeeds because it is doing the exact opposite of what other blockusters are doing with a lead female protagonist.

Patty Jenkins is a treasure in these trying times.

As far as doing more than the first, we ll see.

400m+ is already quite big not a lot of sequels go up from there.

OS has more potential.

yep, true female gaze. Not "we can't do this and that or we'll offend easily offended twitter group #24567869 that doesn't even watch our movies but stirs shit on social media and we can't have any bad PR."

@NamakFiskKa It's a fantasy movie so whatever route they took it seems to work judging by positive reactions.

1 Jurassic World Uni. $208,806,270 32.0% 4,274 $48,855 $652,270,625 6/12/15
2 Incredibles 2 BV $182,687,905 30.0% 4,410 $41,426 $608,581,744 6/15/18

Obviously WB needs to move back a week to take advantage of the superior calendar placement that is always afforded at this time of the mo...

*checks current WE thread*

Nevermind.
