And that's a thing to remember. This is literally dumping most of the footage they have in narrative form. There will be reshoots and edits to tighten it up by the time it releases.

Apparently the current cut of the film is pretty damn good from what I've heard so honestly I have faith wherever it gets placed. Depends also on marketing and what angle WB is going to target.

This was from the test screening or you have source at WB?

I assume I’ll like this just fine, but I do hope #3 can move past Steve and into the present day.

It's probably the movie of the year quite frankly.

MayPac hurt Dulltron a lot. JW also opened after several weekends full of small openers. San Andreas w/ only $54m was biggest opening over previous 3 weeks, nobody else broke $33m.

JW had a 90m opener in its second weekend. Competition is not always harmful, my dude.

And that's July 17th, right? Unless they've moved it without me paying attention.

If that's still the date, it's completely irrelevant to WW1984's run, except for possibly super late legs.

Same studio, too, so it probably won't be competition.

WW84, leading off the summer and as the first major comic book film in nearly a year (I don't really count BIRDS OF PREY) will open to gangbusters numbers. It will be the main event of quarters 1 and 2 of 2020.

Release after a slew of large hit and it won't do near as much. Facts

Why wouldn't you count BoP? It's basically a character sequel to a 300m breakout hit.

Yeah, like how WW was the movie event of summer 2017 when it was released at...

*checks*

Hmm, this can't be right. It was released at the beginning of June, a well known dead zone for movies.

Wonder Woman succeeds because it is doing the exact opposite of what other blockusters are doing with a lead female protagonist.

Patty Jenkins is a treasure in these trying times.

As far as doing more than the first, we ll see.

400m+ is already quite big not a lot of sequels go up from there.

OS has more potential.

And it could do a Deadpool 2.

Secret Life of Pets too, shows that not everything is a safe bet.

I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Yes, please give me a big romance with superhero action mixed in. Gal and Pine's chemistry is so good and God, her smile... *swoon*

WW opened to way less than Guardians, Beauty and Beast, and Spiderman...

WW was untested and was coming off JL. People were skeptical. This time around it won't have the same problem. The hype is too big. It will be a smash

WB/WAG are going to try like hell to push Scoob but due to their incompetence in family films, TLM2 numbers seem spot on.

I think Scoob may end up being more successful than everyone is thinking

Spider-Man had Iron Man and Beast was a different Beast. WW will likely have the same OW bump as GV2 regardless where it opens.

But hey it’s not like dead months like August, September, February or even January have had huge openers.
