Wonder Woman succeeds because it is doing the exact opposite of what other blockusters are doing with a lead female protagonist.

Patty Jenkins is a treasure in these trying times.

 

As far as doing more than the first, we ll see.

400m+ is already quite big not a lot of sequels go up from there.

OS has more potential.

WW was untested and was coming off JL. People were skeptical. This time around it won't have the same problem. The hype is too big. It will be a smash

Spider-Man had Iron Man and Beast was a different Beast. WW will likely have the same OW bump as GV2 regardless where it opens.

 

But hey it’s not like dead months like August, September, February or even January have had huge openers.
