Nope, I just mentioned the runtime of the film right now and reception from test screenings.

I'm not worried about the not great reception from the test screening. The movie out in June. If it happens to still be lukewarm by January, I'll panic.

It's not even that bad honestly. Sounds a bit like a riskier version of Aquaman to me. It honestly sounds like it's trying to be somewhat of a campy film.

It’s a DC movie, so whenever there’s reports of test screenings where the response is anything less than glowing, you can expect there to be panic. As silly as it sounds, I remember freaking out when Drew McWeeny said that WB was concerned about BvS, and I certainly wasn’t alone.

 

Funnily enough, I was also pretty concerned about Wonder Woman, since there were so many “reports” of the movie being a mess, which made its eventual success feel pretty cathartic.

The last time DC went camp we got Aquaman on a seahorse and Jared Leto with tattoos. Not a great track record.

Camp is one of those things where the lines between intent and execution are very blurry

Feels pretty clear whenever DCEU does it. Aquaman and Shazam were intentional camp but Suicide Squad was unintentional camp.

Former made more than a billion and the latter wasnt much behind and ended up getting an Oscar for those tattoos in the process

In which case I hope the filmmakers know what they are doing. Camp is the kind of thing that looks easy to do, but is pretty hard to do well.

"Shazam" did not take  itself that seriously for most of the film, but that is not the same as camp.

I really liked Shazam. And for all the humor in the film the "reunion" scene between Billy and his Mother was one of the most touching..and well written scenes I have seen all year.

So bye bye Wonder Woman trilogy, I think Patty was just lucky with the first one, she filming 2 movies in like 12 years and there is a reason
