$135M Budget - $60M = $75M 

$455M Worldwide - $170M China = $285M with probably another $15M coming from Japan. So a $300M gross on a $75M budget is pretty great. It will do 4x for Paramount. 

Don't forget to subtract another 22 mil from the budget because of California tax credits.

pretty sure official production budgets are counted after taking tax credit benefits away...

 

whatever the case budgets are hard to clarify and whatever number is stated, is always wrong. Fact is, this will make bank for Paramount. They have already said it has turned a profit, which is good news. They seem happy with it. getting close to $500M is a success for this smaller scale film, especially after the disaster that was the last knight.
