THE INCREDIBLES II | 634.2 M overseas ● 1242.8 M worldwide

Recommended Posts

So the biggest OS Markets for The Incredibles were (Gross of Finding Dory & Finding Nemo) in those markets)

UK: $61.9M ($56.3M & $67.2M)

Japan: $50M ($65.9M & $102.4M)

France: $ $40.3M (21.9M & $64.8M)

Spain: $25.4M ($20M & $29.5M)

Germany: $24.2M ($35.3M & $53.9M)

Australia: $20.9M ($36.3M & $26.8M)

Italy: $20.3M ($17.4M & $27.7M)

Mexico: $16M ($24.8M & 17.8M)

Brazil: $10.5M ($34.5M &  ???)

Sk: $6.8M ($18.2M & ???)

Total (Top 10): $276.3M ($330.6M & $360.6+M)

Rest: $95.3M ($211.7M)

I think especially Mexico, Brazil and France can be bigger for Incredibles than for FD, don't know about the other markets. I guess at least Germany will be smaller.

So these ten markets might do 350M with the others being slightly bigger (China) it would mean 350+220 for 570M OS and I don't see anymore than that.

Dory also lost handily to Nemo in UK, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Italy and a bunch of other smaller European markets despite 12 years of inflation.

Iincredibles 2 will definately gain in markets that grew bigger since 2004, but it's far from a guarantee that it will do 40M in France, 50M in Japan or 60M in the UK just because the first one did. Those big markets were already mature by then, some of them are even a little smaller today than what they were in '04.

UK will increase thought.

The drop-off in Japan for Finding Dory was much steeper than I imagined (from ¥11 billion to ¥6.83 billion), yet Japan was still its biggest OS market. Pixar has really been struggling in the market in recent years (even the masterpiece Coco will have to crawl over the ¥5 billion mark) that I don't know what to predict for Incredibles 2.

Incredibles 2 scores record OD for Pixar in Perú

It also topped Zootopia which did 78.600.  Zootopia and Dory ended up doing around 1,4M admissions. Pixar and Disney animated record is Coco with 1,66M.

With these results I'm positive that it will break Pixar OW record in Chile also

I think have a chance to pass Frozen

Now, wait and see if China help this film to reach this achievement

Yeah, I guess really depends on an very strong domestic performance and not too bad China performance now.

How do you think Incredibles 2 will do in Japan?

Presales for Incredibles 2 ("I2") in China for next Friday (OD) doesn't look so good.

Just like what many critics pointed out I2 lacked the emotional factor. This is an important factor that allowed Coco to do so well in China.. as well as the reason for the surprise multiplier of Wonder and A Dog's purpose in China BO.

I am sure I2 will do well in China, but the numbers may not be amazing. Hope i am wrong though.
