It's not like it's not public knowledge.  So even though we won't name names, it's not like the bet was made in private.

Nor that the bettor didn't take a few weeks getting on your case over and over before reneging...

 

It's one thing to make a bet you regret...it's another to make a bet, rub someone's face in it when it looks like you'll win, and then when it starts looking like it's going the other way, renege and run away...
