Xillix
So I've started writing Under since it's probably the one I'm most passionate about for Y2. But no matter when I actually finish it I'm only going to post the first act in the Part I thread until like... immediately before the deadline. I actually don't want people reading most of it in advance. I'd like reviews to all be done with fresh eyes. That said if I finish Deep Into the Night early I might send that out for pre-read. Those are really my only two "serious" Y2 movies in terms of, like, putting in a lot of effort and hoping/expecting them to actually be any good
Rorschach
I'm rewatching The Odyssey mini-series/Troy (the movie with Brad Pitt) to help me start writing the first of the trilogy.
Xillix
Well I managed to crank out the first 1,400 words of Under in the past hour. A few more good nights and it'll be done early.
Ezen Baklattan
Mapping out Cyber now....it's going to be set between 2002 and 2009 and something of a political "epic" (I.e really really long) in the vein of, say, The West Wing meets Goodfellas.
Ezen Baklattan
Cyber and The Simulation will probably be my main OCs for next year - Parvelli might just be too strange for a big success. Gobi could be promising, it's a pretty simple story but I think it can make a fun film.
Ezen Baklattan
Fair warning....Cyber may be another ultra-long movie. I'm about 1k words in, and that should correspond to the first 20-25 minutes of two plus hour movie.

cookie
I kinda want to go 15k on one of my movies but unlike Poison and Wine stuff will actually happen in it Edited October 9, 2017 by cookie
Ethan Hunt
I'm not saying I had Poison and Wine in a couple categories for my Oscar ballot but I had Poison and Wine in a couple categories for my Oscar ballot

cookie
I have a PG-13 cut of Scavenger Wars that's over 150 minutes, and an R-rated cut that's pushing 160. (word count it's probably a 0.5k difference)

cookie
2 minutes ago, Hiccup23 said: Tbh the main reason why I criticized the length is that while word count wise it's super long much of it is just dialogue or descriptions that in practice would only translate to a couple of seconds of screentime. Hence why I said it could've been a 90-minute film and you wouldn't have had to cut a thing.

Ezen Baklattan
Thankfully for you, I'm about halfway through Cyber (maybe a bit less) and it's "only" 2.1k words. Cassia is probably the other other film this year that might be kind of long.
4815162342
Writing long films isn't the worst thing... Spoiler As long as you know how to do it.
Hiccup23
Got Poison and Wine 2 (Gott think of a different name) and David left to write...I have hit a block in my writing ugh! Luckily I got time and only two films left. Academy took so much effort and it burnt me out kind of haha
