Green Lantern was a guy and we already discussed those are easier overall...but when you are picking female supers, is it any wonder that even Avengers started with Black Widow (street level) vs Scarlett Witch (and even with Scarlett Witch, they changed her on-screen powers to make her more doable)...they already had enough "gods" to plan around and didn't want to stuff another one in a plot...

 

It's also why Elektra got a movie...again, another street-level cheap movie to make...

Catwoman cost 100mil in 2004, how is that a cheap and easy movie to do again? I'll grant you Elektra was a cheap film. Green Lantern has an incredibly silly mythology and powers that can come off as a joke on screen, how is that easier to do than Wonder Woman? And I forgot to mention that it cost over 200mil to make.

SMH  when are you guys going to learn that Spidey fever is back and here to stay. 

 

The fact that some folks really think SMH having Iron Man in it is the reason why it's doing so well. No it's doing well because 1). It's a great movie and 2). The people love Spider-man. Like before there was Iron Man, there was Spidey. And now Spidey has come to reclaim the throne that is rightfully his.

We are talking why certain female supers movies got made 1st...it's not a risk to make a female super...it's been done before...

 

It was a risk to choose one that's hard to make a movie arc out of...your point about Green Lantern almost absolutely proves my point.  His disaster of a movie showed its HARD to come up with a good arc for godlike characters...it's MUCH easier and cheaper to do it for street-level ones...

 

If you still don't get it, I can't help you b/c I'm moving on...
