Per Deadline:

We’ve been hearing about the release date change for a while and from what we know the pic has a great action tone that’s prime for the fall,  especially during awards season. Word is Lively is fantastic in the movie.  EON’s 007 pics have typically launched in the November month.

what was wrong with the original release date? it didn't have much competition

did they just want a holiday release?

Captain Marvel would have snapped whatever legs it could have had like Thanos snapped The Avengers  Honestly, it just seems like a case of not wanting to rush things given the delay in production. They never released anything for the movie so it seems like they knew they wouldn’t get it released on time. The holiday release I think is a bit of an added bonus (plus there’s like no other place to put it)

If it was because of injury and the time to announce the new date was because they were trying to get a great weekend for it (and they achieved to do so), it is really not a sign of anything.

Has for the performance WW of 150M to reach, this has a giant advantage to pretty much everything else, from the James Bond people and soft connection going on, in many market that could change awareness and what not by a huge amount.

would anyone go see it just because it says from the producers of 007???

this will def. make or break blake as a global star. scary.

I don't know about domestic but overseas I know plenty of men that would go watch it if you tell them it's from the same people that make James Bond.

Yea I think they've released one other film that wasn't an action one though in 2017. They are literally known as "the Bond producers" lol I can't wait for this movie's trailer to be like "From the Producers that brought you James Bond" and then "The studio that brought you Mission Impossible Fallout." Use any marketing ploy that they can

That's exactly what I thought!

Meanwhile I'm like let's see how Paramount manages to fuck this all up.

Youve got a very good director, a very good production company and a decent actress who has shown she is capable of carrying a film. Enter Paramount.....this should end well

yeah, if there is way to screw this up, Paramount will find a way.

Sad to see one of the oldest studios in Hollywood with such bad management. Cecil B De Mille, one of the founders, in turning over in his grave.

Paramount really can't catch a break now can they

She apparently broke her hand or something like that doing a stunt and production is halted. First Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise and now this.

Forgot about that.

I presume they have finished filming.

If not, they have problems since Lively is expecting a baby.

As someone who was actually looking forward to this movie.....I completely forgot it existed so way to go to all parties involved.

And seeing the new release date....yikes! Not only Super Bowl weekend but the weekend before BOP comes out. Might as well have dumped it to Netflix at this point. Stick a fork in this one.
