I know it's been said a million times before but people still see a film in the 90% range on RT and think it must be a great movie. It could be 90% of critics shrugged and said "it's fine," it doesn't mean shit.

i wouldnt say that exactly, however you are right , in that, bc critics like something that doesnt mean that you will too and vise versa , people like what they like, all of these are fun metrics and give an indication but at the end of the day for you, what matters most is what you think

So critical response is it's a pretty good movie, but don't expect one of Pixar's masterpieces.

Now it's box office prospects are more up in the air then ever.

It won't bomb, but probably won't make what the last few Pixar movies have made.

I have to agree that since Pixar started to make two films a year every Pixar  movie is not the event they all once were.

the last few pixar movies made 1-1,2 billion dollars, so............................ , around 700 for this , would be great

Pixar's track record in terms of critical acclaim is still remarkable to me (and in combination with their overall box office success). Now looking like 21 out of 22 films with a positive critical reception, and 20 of them 'Certified Fresh' on RT. I'm curious to see how Onward does at the box office.

The Good Dinosaur surely takes the cake for that. At least Brave is remembered for robbing the Oscar from Wreck It Ralph.

Yeah maybe GD is the forgotten one in the Pixar canon but it you have seen both, I2 is the inferior one.
