I don't see how it can be used as an adjective. an adjective is a descriptor for a noun. an adverb is a descriptor for a verb. You can't describe something as "onward".

Maybe there's some interpretation in that dictionary where it can be used as an adjective but 99% of the time its used as an adverb and more to the point, its used as an adverb in the title of this film. so it should be

"Disney's ADVERB"

I know i say some dumb shit sometimes but I'm right here and anyone with a grasp of English would agree. That may be the problem actually - you are all american.

lmao he's still going

Collins is a British dictionary: https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/onward. Pay special attention to the note at the top - in typical British usage, "onward" is the adjectival form, as an adverb "onwards" is used instead. In other words, as a Brit this really ought to be even more obvious to you than it would be to an American.

LANGUAGE NOTE:  In British English, onwards is an adverb and onward is an adjective. In American English and sometimes in formal British English, onward may also be an adverb.

1. adjective [usually ADJECTIVE noun]
Onward means moving forward or continuing a journey.
They have two flights a day to Bangkok, and there are onward flights to Phnom Penh.
Onward is also an adverb.
The bus continued onward.
He measured the distance to the nearest Antarctic coast, and onwards to the South Pole. [+ to]
2. adjective [usually ADJECTIVE noun]
Onward means developing, progressing, or becoming more important over a period of time.
...the onward march of progress in the British aircraft industry.
Onward is also an adverb.
I can see things just going onwards and upwards for us now.
The most important thing now is to move onwards.

Oxford is also a British dictionary, which I hope you already knew: https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/onward

Quote

ADJECTIVE

  • (of a journey) continuing or moving forward.

‘informing passengers where to change for their onward journey’

figurative ‘the onward march of history’

I should warn you that you will have a very hard time convincing me that you have a better grasp of English than the lexicographers of the Collins and Oxford dictionaries.

Onward has the potential to be a Best Animated Feature candidate. There's also:

Pete Docter's Pixar film

The WDAS film

Scooby (Spider-Verse showed that outside-IP films can win if they truly hit it out of the part)

Rumble (Paramount's film about monsters that wrestle--you never know)

the Lord/Miller film about the family and the robots

Vivo

Ron's Gone Wrong

(Plus any foreign/independent film that comes out of nowhere.)

So 2020 is certainly a more exciting year than, say, 2017.

2020 is probably the most exciting since 2016 to be honest for animation, besides I can see box office really booming for it unlike these past few years.

Onward, Docter’s film and potentially the WDAS film can cross the $300M mark with a lot of potential breakouts.

Provided A) It gets made and B ) it remains animated, I want to see what Sony Animation does with "The Mitchells Vs. The Machines"
