That's a mistake. They have entered the UK last weekend numbers and in doing so added the $65mn cume to the film as re-release, dividing $8mn and change to all films.

Fair.

BOM says that small portions of grosses that goes to each total to each HP-movie either domestic/overseas. So of course it’s not like all the movies made exactly $65M in UK each. Otherwise some of these HP-movies would be at $1B by now. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Still...HP1 remains even to this day..the movie closest to $1B but not actually there...yet.

It is quite possible that after some re-releases it actually is there. In Korea, it has done atleast $3-4mn in re-releases

I thought may be China re-release could take Potter around 200mn admits, but it will fall short. by a quite.

In best case scenario I expect 10mn admits from China, which will take it to 190mn only.

Also, we all wonder how much will be Potter adjusted to today time to time. Well $1.72 Billion just for inflation and exchange rate adjustment. However, due to market growth, I think Potter could have done $2 Billion.

The 4K 3D restoration of the beloved Wizarding World film opened in China on August 14, 2020 and has taken in an estimated $1,001,260,000 worldwide to date and still climbing. It is now the second film in the film series to reach the billion-dollar milestone following “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2,” which was released in 2011 and has grossed $1.34 billion globally. It is another benchmark for the enduringly popular film franchise, which has now earned $7.74 billion.

Officially crossed a billion. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200818005680/en/Magic-Continues-“Harry-Potter-Sorcerer’s-Stone”-Crosses
