WB has no issues scheduling New Line films a week after another WB or NL film like they did in 2016 so it could go either way

I think that WB knows if IX moves to December, they can push WW2 to 2020 and move a tentpole either Billion Brick Race or maybe WW2 to Memorial Day 2019. I think they know Mulan is going to be that November 1st spot too.

Not like you can top Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in those type of mentor roles we see with Q/M in the Bond series.

I realize he grew up loving Bond and it has influenced at least 4 of his movies, but I would be pretty disappointed if he jumps into the Bond franchise. Much rather see more original Nolan projects.

Spielberg ended up doing Indiana Jones because he couldn't snag a Bond flick. And, in another way, Nolan ended up doing Batman. Both directors essentially did a play on Bond with each series. That's more than fine.

Probably Warner Bros, it's pretty rare for New Line to have a big blockbuster.

Shazam is New Line and I'm 50/50 Margie Claus is New Line too.

In today's times China could have saved Golden Compass ...and hence New Line.

10 years back it did 300+ OS with 5m from China.

Hope WAR can do 152 dom...will at least be a healthy 2.7x for a three-quel.

An acceptable drop in legs going by sequelitis, notwithstanding the unacceptable drop in revenue:

RISE 3.22x (176.76/54.81)

DAWN 2.87x (208.55/72.61)

WAR 2.70x (152/56.26)

Shazam is New Line? I figured it would have been the same combination of DC Films, RatPac-Dune Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment (plus Cruel and Unusual Films if the Snyder's are producing) like the rest of the DCEU films.

Predictions for some of the Holdovers for Wednesday:

The Emoji Movie: $2.7 million (-35%)

Girls Trip: $2.3 million (-20%)

Spidey: $1.831 million (-26%)

Atomic Blonde: $1.8 million (-30%)

-25% drop for Spidey, you almost got it. Good hold. It should be around $293m-$294m after Sunday.

If EMOJI adds 2.7m on Thu (4% down from 2.82m on Wed) and manages "only" a 51% fall over the weekend (for 12m 2nd weekend), it's cume will be 49m.

49m will give it a 2.0x multiplier after the 2nd weekend (49/24.5) ... same as DUNKIRK after the 2nd weekend (101.32/50.51 = 2.0x) :sparta:

Can see this:

Thu 2.7 (-4.25%)

Fri 3.8 (+40.7%)

Sat 4.9 (+28.9%)

Sun 3.3 (-32.6%)

2nd Wknd 12 (-51%)

New Line, DC Films, RatPac and Atlas are making this.
