That's a 9% drop from last Monday for WW...before everyone freaks out at how good the number is, it was a Canadian holiday for much of the country.

Still, that seems like an awfully good hold.

I'm surprised the holiday here had that much of an effect.  Those are two really good holds.  Tuesday jumps should be soft.

Okay, was there something else going on in the US yesterday?  The drops were normal in 2016 when the Canadian holiday fell on August 1st.

These holds don't make any sense.

So possible muted Tuesday hold or not, WW has passed 400M today, right?

It will pass it later today.  It's 7AM on the west coast.

Expecting a drop for Tuesday?

Seems strong for Dunkirk.

I don't think there will be a drop. But jumps might be in the 10-20% range. That would put Dunkirk about 34% off last week which would be in line with its weekend daily drops (using 10%)

But the Sunday holds were really good last year. So I don't know if the holiday this year people decided to go on Monday instead.

Good point.  I think you might be on to something.

Game of Thrones is fucking over the Sunday night shows right now. Nobody wants to admit this but it seems obvious when you look at the same Canadian holiday a year ago. People decided to wait for Monday because of TV stuff on Sunday evening.

STB grossed another 50mil after the holiday, 200mil for Dunkirk still looks possible, or maybe around 190-195mil (3.8-3.9x; 4.2-4.3x if exclude preview).

It seems like the most likely answer, but looking at airing dates of GoT last year, the Sunday drops don't seem particularly unusual to me for the ones in June.

To counter that, the viewership is on average about 2.5 million viewers higher than last year.
