MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT | 571.0 M overseas ● 791.1 M worldwide

Recommended Posts

Let's assume $150 million in China (around 10% increase from MI5 which seems very reasonable). MI6 then has another $30 million left from Japan, which means the remaining holdovers only need a bit less than $45 million combined for it to hit $500 million OS. Current markets minus Japan added about $32 million this weekend, so that would require a 2.4x multiplier off this weekend.

Internationally, Fallout fell just 47% and continues to track ahead of Rogue Nation (+19%) in like-for-likes. China is still to release the movie, on August 31.

New this session was Poland at No. 1 with $615K from 144 locations. The result is 35% above Rogue Nation.

Slow-burn Japan, a key consumer of the Mission movies, held No. 1 with a 24% drop and a cume of $18.7M. France’s 2nd frame dipped 44% for a $14.4M cume to date, and Germany also held the No. 1 slot on a slight 12% drop and an $8M total so far. Australia’s sophomore session lifted the total to $8.9M as the movie maintained No. 1 and the Netherlands’ second outing saw a mere 2% slide for $3.9M through Sunday.

In 3rd weekend holds, Korea has cumed $46.4M to lead all play; the UK is now at $22.4M; Taiwan has $11.9M; Mexico rose to $10.8M; Brazil’s tally is $9.6M; and the UAE has $6.4M. The total Middle East region has grossed $13.9M.

I hope it surprises and legs it’s way to over $200M+ in China. The quality of this movie is extremely high. In fact, this is the most acclaimed MI-film in terms of RT. And it’s coming off two highly regarded predecessors. Better not disappoint just for it to miss $700M+ WW.

Mission Impossible 6 - Fallout took its total to 76.50 crore nett plus to become the seventh highest NETT grossing film ever in India from Hollywood.  The weekend has seen a big drop of around 80% from last week and the final business will probably stay a little below 80 crore nett. The film has done better than Dhadak which was released one week before Mission Impossible - Fallout.

Week Two - 19,85,00,000

Weekend Three - 2,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 76,58,00,000 apprx

Europe numbers I think are the mediocre ones that are holding it back. Shame on them

Europe seems to be the market that gets tired after a certain number of movies in a series. Like, just wrap it up already.

MI6 will end up below JWFK. MI6 faced stiff competition from releases down south and MEG took over IMAX screens which was of no use.

It will further go down on August 15th as 2 biggies up north will affect its screen count drastically.

But nevertheless it will end up as 3rd highest grosser this year in India. I dont see any other movies in next 5 months challenging JWFK and MI6 here.

Europe seems to be performing better after looking at that Netherland fig... MI6 opened to very good numbers in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, CZ etc.

But im eagerly waiting for Mojo for weekend figs to see how it held in its 2nd weekend
