The thing is though, McAvoy wasn't that good in this scene but he didn't have much to do in this scene. The guy playing adult Eddie is also awesome here and the banter between Richie and Eddie is hilarious.

Probably the most accurate casting appearance wise

Valonqar
Why are Skarsgaards so talented? Stellan, Alex, Bill, all really great actors.

lorddemaxus
Bloody Disgusting is also doing it. Guessing we should be getting first reactions on the 20th: https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3578098/hey-chicago-see-chapter-two-early-august-20th-free/
Barnack
Studio seem to be buying one soft belly platform after the other.
lorddemaxus
Review embargo should end on the 27th too. The first film's review embargo was a day after the premiere (which was on the 5th of September) and this one has its premiere on the 26th. Valonqar
Now that Collider fell out of Disney or at least LFL favor, WB is courting them. Blech. Most unlikable people around, especially Frosty.
WittyUsername
It’ll be interesting if this movie receives the finale boost that movies like DH2 and Endgame received. It only had one prior film, so I’m not sure how effective the whole “witness the end” angle will work out, but we’ll see.
dudalb
If you are wondering what became of the remake of Stephan King's "The Stand" is starts shooting this fall. OncomingStorm93
I have no idea why this would open below the first. This has to be the most anticipated horror sequel of all time. Going by BoxOfficeReport's YT metrics, Chapter 1 had one of the top 10 breakout OWs (relative to trailer hits) they've recorded, and they show Chapter 2 well outpacing 1 for trailer hits. $125m has to be the floor. If I had to take a guess, it could be because this film might not have the 80s nostalgia/Stranger Things factor going for it.

And the first film didn't have James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, and Bill Hader. The starpower factor. JGAR4LIFE
This is definitely increasing OW. $120M+ for sure.

Or the clown mania from the year before (which a lot of people thought was a promo tactic for the first IT movie).
