Morieris
I don't even remember hearing that in the credits or anything...unless it was at the very end. Also I hope the Academy is either so inattentive that this sneaks in or has a good sense of humor;
SLAM!
There's a song from the film Marshall, by Andre Day (from "I will rise up!") ft. Common, called "Something to Stand For". I think it stands a chance if Marshall is a breakout.
Safeno Rdz
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB8ZsjMhy5M Do you think Amy Lee's Speak to me has a chance? I know it's from an unkwnon documentary, but it's kind of usual for this category to have songs from kinda unknown films, and this song is just gorgeous. SLAM!
Of course, I'm having trouble figuring out exactly why Warner Bros decided not to submit "Almost Human" from Blade Runner 2049. But I guess it wouldn't have gotten in anyway. My hope for the song nominees is that all five of the nominees are songs that can actually be performed onstage. 2012's ceremony was a buzzkill because only three of the songs were "performable".
