Could this movie win an Oscar?

So... Soft Toys can win Best Picture but La La Land can't :hahaha:

This is brilliant, and much better visual effects than that other animal movie coming out in october

God, it's even better then the last poster, and the previous poster was the best I have seen in a while.

The marketing for this is great.

Fascinating how the marketing for this is so good, but the marketing for another much bigger Disney release "Solo" was so bad.

A comp for this i think could be Oz the great and Powerful. I’m expecting better word of mouth on this, so stronger legs should be in order. It also doesn’t have the “this is a true blockbuster” marketing either, so a smaller opening should happen as well.

Also, it’s not like a conventional Wizard of Oz movie made bank at the box office in recent memory before OTGAP, but the characters are classic among many generations, much like Pooh

It looks much, much better then Oz The Great and Powerful though, which was not a very good movie. Which is why it had a huge opening weekend but weak legs.

It's all about the execution, people. You can have two movies with the same ingrediants:One will be good, the other will suck. Execution is the difference.

Love this poster

I'm going to post this in Hi-Res to see if the board allows it anymore. The last few photos I've posted have looked like crap. Looks like it works.

Edit: Nope, looks like crap after it's posted.  The board seems to be downgrading all images now.

My parents saw Incredibles 2 today and when I talked to them about it on the phone, my mom honestly talked about the trailer for this more than the movie itself

I personally loved the teaser for this and am indifferent to the trailer but looking forward to it. It should do pretty well

I like they're using lines from the original Milne stories. While it does seem like Hook 2.0, I don't think that's a bad thing

Hook was garish and bloated.  The story might have similar bones but it entirely different tone from the trailers.

This Hook shade kills my soul. I loved the movie as a kid and was heart broken when I grew up and saw on the internet that people hated the movie.

And the worst poster. The daughter looks like something from the uncanny valley. Why does she look like she’s walking up the stairs?

Also “Jean-Christophe”? Cmon France...

Just found out that Johann Johannsson was attached to this before he passed away. Damn, I would've to hear how he would've tackled a movie like this :(

I kept confusing this with the Domnhall Gleeson Christopher Robin movie. Now that I've seen trailers...no didn't cry.

Not. At. All.

I'm not a liar.
