That's not how box office pundits operate tho. There's nothing wrong with WW going for a 3.99 instead of a 4 multiplier. Its run isn't less insane and worthy of praise for that.

Yeah, any movie that can’t hit a true 4.00 multiplier after opening north of $100M is an abject failure. Definitely pay no attention to GotG2 and SMH both failing to reach a 3.00 multiplier. Talk about franchise ending embarrassments!

Both the movies Wondy featured in ended 0.1x short of a round multiplier : 1.99x last year and 3.99x this year.

Judi playing royalty is like catnip to the older demo. It’s a decent film so I’m not too surprised that it’s done well in limited release. Will be interesting how it does when it goes wide
