MIB International | June 14 2019 | F Gary Gray directing | Hemsworth, Ferguson, Neeson, Thompson and Thompson

Not a huge MIB fan (I've only seen the third) but weirdly really looking forward to this. Probably cause I loved Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson chemistry in Thor Ragnarok.

I hope there's a twist revealing that Linda Fiorentino is actually hidden inside Chris Hemsworth or something.

This is going to be a hard sell for audiences, but I didn't dislike the trailer. If that means anything...

Every trailer feels same. A song with usual humor. MIB movies are comedy movies but it still need something to sell itself. Sometimes it works, most time not. Godzilla is the only trailer, I liked this month.

This trailer also didn't have a money shot, like statham fighting a giant shark. You have thor, something can be done. It must be tough when you get a project to market a non surefire-hit movie. Like, I thought mad max fury road trailer were great but they didn't work as good as WB must hope. Rock's skyscraper and rampage had clear selling point with biggest star right now, and yet they didn't do great. Jumanji trailers felt cheesy and not so great but it reached near $1 billion.

It is hard to market movies.

Guess this will have to settle as being the second highest-grossing Marvel/funnybook movie of June :L

Jumanji had the Rock, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart star power to attract domestic audiences. Also, it had a better critical reception than what most people expected and was a great alternative to The Mehhhh Jedi, as well as appealing to everyone. Overseas audiences recognized that as well and boom, $900M+ WW.

Hindsight and all. If movie have done bad, there would be reasons for it too. Rock and kevin hart together is a very good domestic box office pair though.

Remove all text and you don't know will Smith. This looks like a B-grade movie. Has EW ever made a good movie cover?
