Slight upgrade from Johnny Knoxville's neck tumor from the 2nd film.

major upgrade from michael stuhlbarg in the third one at the very least

major downgrade from the little alien piloting the old dude in the first one though.

He can always turn it around with a giant surprise performance in China.

Serioulsy, he might turn his "Can't give away tickets for his movies where he is not Thor" image by turning to comedy. He is very skilled at comedy, and more serious roles have been a dead end for him.

I think in a giant action-comedy he can be an interesting pick for a studio, just has to be him playing pretty much exactly Thor in movies that target exactly the same audience for it to work.

A comedy like MIB seem perfect for him.

Well that a bit trivial what I am saying, a studio (and their marketing team with focus group research) are obviously thinking the same.

From the article:

Sources say that Sony is hoping to round out a diverse ensemble cast and may be potentially eying the leads to be white male, a female of color, and an older man.

I'm gonna say Tiffany Haddish will be the co-star.
