Not quite an SOTM, but also not quite a preseason. This is a little bit like the old Who wants to be a Millionaire SOTM of the past but it runs every week. 

 

It is one thread. One question per week and a simple Yes/No or Over/Under question. 

 

e.g. Ragnarok makes $100M Over / Under?

 

Players post in this thread their prediction and the thread is locked over the weekend. 

 

Survivor Thread Tweaks:

 

1 question per week for 20 weeks

 

Correct answer is 20000 points (Cumulates)

Incorrect answer cashes you out at half the points won over the player's current answer streak

Cash Out cashes you out at full points won

THERE ARE NO PASSES ANYMORE. FAILURE TO ANSWER FOR A WEEK IS AN AUTOMATIC CASHOUT WITH A 20% TAX REMOVED FROM PRIZE POOL (Rounded up to the nearest 1000 points).

 

After cashing out, players are automatically reentered into the next question, but the points per question is reduced as follows:

 

After first reentry - 15,000 points

After Second reentry - 10,000 points

After Third Reentry - 7,000 points

After Fourth Reentry - 5,000 points

After Fifth Reentry - 3,000 points is the lowest limit.

 

BONUSES:

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong or cashing out, they will get a 100,000 point bonus.

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong with 1 cash out, they will get a 70,000 point bonus.

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong with 2 cash outs, they will get a 40,000 point bonus.

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong with 3 cash outs, they will get a 20,000 point bonus.

Week 9: December 15th Weekend: - Will Ferdinand make more than 10% of the weekend gross of Last Jedi?

 

Week 10: December 22nd Weekend: - Will Jumanji and Pitch Perfect Combine to more than Last Jedi?

 

Week 11: December 29th Weekend: - Will Downsizing Increase?

 

Week 12: January 5th Weekend: - Will Insidious open to more than $13.2M?

 

 

Week 13: January 12th Weekend: - Will Paddington make over double Last Jedi's Weekend total?

 

Week 14: January 19th Weekend: - Will Ferdinand drop less than 35%?

 

Week 15: January 26th Weekend: - Will Maze Runner 3's Saturday increase from its true Friday (friday minus previews)?

 

Week 16: February 2nd Weekend: - Will Winchester have an internal multiplier above 2.45?

 

 

Week 17: February 9th Weekend: - Will Fifty Shades make a higher percentage of its OW total on Friday than Peter Rabbit does of its OW total on Saturday?

 

Week 18: February 16th Weekend: - Will Black Panther be closer to Dr Strange or Antman's OW total?

You can begin your survival quest either from Weekend Oct 20th or 27th. 

 

So if you do not answer Week 1 and start at week 2, you are still starting at the max points level.

 

Week 3 onwards though, the points begin to drop if you enter late.
