Looks good but with today's technology they could have did a way better job the CGI dog. Looks like the same ctia used for Alvin and the Chipmunks and Peter Rabbit .Hope this is as good as Alpha.

IIRC, the dog's done in motion capture, played by the guy who played Kong in Skull Island

The CGI on the dog is reminding me of live-action Scooby-Doo.

I don't know what you think CGI is but this requires vastly more work than having a limited trained dog.

I don't understand the need for a CGI dog. Can someone explain this to me? Wouldn't it be easier, cheaper and way better to have a real dog?

Haven't watched the trailer and not real familiar with the story, but I tend to sympathize with artistic decisions that prevent real animals from having to be used.

If it's just a fun adventure movie they have sort of missed the whole point of the Jack London  novel...and...

I find myself wondering how much of an adventure epic this is going to be vs. a poignant man/dog friendship story. Admittedly I haven't read the novel but from. There's something about the trailer that just isn't selling me on the epic adventure part, even if that aspect is in plain view in said trailer. I don't know, just having doubts for whatever reason.
