I assume we won’t be getting a new Ready Player One trailer with Justice League, think Star Wars is the most likely place to debut the second trailer.

Seems so, looks like only Rampage is with Justice League.

JL will be under $20m the weekend of December 1-3, pretty much out of the movie conversation by that point, so the IW trailer will come that following week, and I think there's a chance the Han Solo trailer shows up a week before the infinity war trailer, Nov 27-28 for Solo, Dec 6-7 for IW.

I wonder if we might be getting the RPO trailer next week rather than this week? The BBFC recently rated a RPO trailer yesterday unless it's a cut down version of the first trailer.

It's a cutdown.

There's been like at least 3 versions of that SDCC teaser in cinemas. One just swaps the ARE YOU READY and logo cards, the other adds some more tagline text in between shots

Universal, whose sister network NBC is airing the game this year, has continually had a footprint during Super Bowl, and this year they’re showcasing their June 22 summer sequel juggernaut Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as well as the Dwayne Johnson July 13 action pic Skyscraper from director Rawson Marshall Thurber.

Paramount is currently scheduled to air a 30-second spot during the Pre-game and another during the last half hour. Those time slots will be allocated to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (July 27) and John Krasinski’s horror thriller A Quiet Place (April 6). Last year the Melrose Ave. studio ran spots for Transformers: The Last Knight, Ghost in the Shell, and Baywatch.

In addition, Disney/Marvel‘s Black Panther will also be showing up during commercial breaks: A few days ago, Lexus unveiled its cross promotion with the saber superhero pic which is opening on Feb. 16 to an estimated $120M-$150M four-day weekend.

While Disney will have a presence during the Super Bowl, they’re tight-lipped about their plans. Deadline has knowledge that they will run a 30-second and 45-second spot. A good guess is that a Marvel trailer or two will run, specifically Black Panther and/or Avengers: Infinity War (May 4).  Over the last two years, Marvel has aired spots to their summer season openers during the Big Game, read Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 and Captain America: Civil War. A spot for July 6th’s Ant-Man vs. The Wasp would be a complete surprise as we haven’t seen any footage from that pic to date.

There’s also the question whether Disney decides to drop a trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Should that occur, it would be the first time ever during the Super Bowl that Disney has done so since taking ownership of Lucasfilm. Given that the film’s May 25 release is less than five months away, they have to start promoting. During the 2016 Summer Olympics, Disney raised the profile of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story with a second official trailer drop.

Last year during Super Bowl, Disney also aired a spot for their family title Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Hence upcoming family pics like A Wrinkle in Time and Pixar’s The Incredibles 2 are also likely Super Bowl spot candidates.

Warner Bros. has traditionally sat out during Super Bowl, and will do so again this year. Sony will also be putting a pause on its Big Game promos after airing spots last year for the Ryan Reynolds alien pic Life. 20th Century Fox, which counted spots last year for A Cure for Wellness and Logan also looks to be on the sidelines this year.

Despite internet buzz that Disney will drop a Star Wars: Episode 9 trailer on Super Bowl, we’re hearing that’s not the case.

On the other hand, bet on Universal dropping a spot for Fast & Furious Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham spinoff Hobbs & Shaw which opens on Aug. 2. Uni has traditionally had a presence at the Super Bowl with its big franchises like Fate of the Furious, and its Jurassic World pics.

And while Disney will not confirm, they have traditionally taken full advantage of the Big Game day for its Marvel and Disney Studio fare. This year that includes Captain Marvel (March 😎, Avengers: Endgame (April 26), Dumbo (March 29), Aladdin (May 24) and Toy Story 4 (June 21)

Paramount plans to have a pre-game spot for its Nickelodeon Movies animated feature Wonder Park which comes out on March 15. The pic tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive.

Sony and Warner Bros. are reportedly sitting out of Super Bowl this year.

Fox is mum on their presence. In the past they’ve had trailers like Logan, and if they do decide to shell out the going rate of $5.1M-$5.3M for 30-second spots to CBS, then it will likely be for their Feb. 14 release Alita: Battle Angel or June 7 X-Men title Dark Phoenix.

While the NFL championship remains the most watched live television event of the year in the U.S., ponying up that much money has become a major deterrent for Hollywood, particularly when dropping a teaser or a trailer at other times during Super Bowl weekend can achieve just as much exposure on social media.

Universal and Disney were the only major studios suiting up in 2019 for the actual game, and that appears to be the case again this time out. Paramount, home of this summer's Top Gun: Maverick, will have a major presence in the pre-game  — Disney and Universal are expected to use this block as well — while Warner Bros. and Sony are staying home completely.

After the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs take to the field, Universal is expected to air spots for its summer tentpoles Fast & Furious 9 (May 22) and Illumination's Minions: The Rise of Gru (July 3), according to insiders. Fun fact: Every Fast pic has advertised on the Super Bowl.

Disney is likewise keeping mum regarding its specific plans, but will have a presence throughout the day, according to sources.

The batch of Disney releases that could make an appearance sometime on Sunday include the live-action Mulan (March 27) and Marvel's Black Widow (May 1) and two Pixar titles, Onward (March 6) and Soul (June 19).

Paramount will air spots during the pre-game for A Quiet Place II (March 20) — two years ago, it did the same for the first A Quiet Place  Sonic the Hedgehog (Feb. 14) and The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run (May 22).

The studio isn't saying if it has any plans to promote Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick (June 26) at any point during the day, but its Mission: Impossible franchise, likewise starring Cruise, has been a Super Bowl staple in past years.
