Looks like one of those cheap animated films from Spain. Just slightly better than the CG you can expect from a Dreamworks' TV show.

 

The emptiness of the settings in each shot doesn't help at all. It doesn't feel lively. 

 

EDIT: The animation studio did Sausage Party and two episodes of Dreamworks' Troll Hunters....

I didn't want to like it but I did. 

 

CGI is the 3rd option I would have picked for this after Live Action and Stop Motion, but it looks ... unusually competent? Like the bit with the bathtub water is shockingly realistic next to an egg man, and the voice acting sells me on it.

 

I don't think I'd see this in the theater but it's ok.

I admit...my family (and I) have liked this trailer at all our kid movies this summer...this is going on my "celebrate the fall season" list if I find time on cheap Tuesday b/c it will be so perfectly timed:)...
