From Deadline:

This weekend added $17.7M overseas for a $484M international cume. Holds have a rather smoldering intensity in such markets as South Africa (-20%), Spain (-22%), the UAE (-24%), Australia (-25%), Germany (-27%), the Netherlands (-33%), France (-34%), Mexico (-34%), the UK (-35%), and Brazil (-35%).

In all this session, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan were playing on 10,800 screens in 92 markets.

The current Top 5 hubs are China ($72.4M – slowing with increased competition in the market), the UK ($46.3M), Australia ($34.8M), France ($26.1M) and Russia($24.7M).

Jumanji 2 is Sony's 5th biggest movie of all time atm. SM:H, Spectre & SM-3 are toast as J2 is definitely going past 900 million. So #2 (behind Skyfall) in Sony's all time list is guaranteed (domestic and WW). On the international front, J2 is likely going to finish at #6 (Skyfall, Spectre, SM-3,SM:H & Da Vinci Code).

The release in Japan is going to be long wait-

Where the ultimate tally lands will depend on how things go in Japan which releases April 6.

It added 12.6m* os over last weekend so should add ~2x that to it's run from current markets. Then there's Japan to go. Not sure how much it will do there but 10-15m is a reasonable estimate (probably conservative).

Gives 503.1 + 25.2 + 12.5 = ~541m os

Adding 390-400 dom gives ~931-941m ww.

*EDIT: that 12.6m estimate turned to 13.8m. 950 is possible too.

Any shot for a billion?

Looks like it will settle around $930 million or so without Japan, which is the only major market remaining. Jumanji doesn't strike me as the type of film to appeal to Japan, so I'd expect the standard gross for a live action movie (around $10 million).

I think on the very high-end it's looking at 415 dom + 560 os-Japan = 975 ww-Japan (...vs 355 dom + 505 os-Japan = 860 ww-Japan before this weekend) and then at most 20-25 from Japan. Probably a tiny shot but not realistic. I think chances at 975 ww including Japan are good.

Small but real chance that Jumanji and TGS combined ww could beat TLJ's ~1.335b; say with 975 ww + 365 ww

Before TLJ released would have been normal if it doubled them combined; say 1.5b TLJ = 2*(550 J + 200 TGS)
