Same multi as Deepwater Horizon gets it to 8.23M for the weekend.  Fine start, given that Sony isn't gonna lose much on the film.

Based on the Jo Nesba's bestselling novel, the movie stars Michael Fassbender as a determined detective on the trail of a serial killer. Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer and J.K. Simmons are also featured in the Tomas Alfredson film. It is opening in 1,813 theaters and is expected to open on par with Geostorm’s $10 million-$12 million range.

Geostorm: 30/78

Madea: 28/113 (add in the show in 15 minutes and it goes up to 38)

OTB: 14/78

Different: 10/78

Snowman: 8/78

Madea's runtime is a blessing for theaters; it has the amount of showtimes a blockbuster would here despite only being on two screens.
