My Bloody Valentine 3D is FUCKING AWESOME. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but it's, like, legit good and immensely entertaining as a movie. It's like Independence Day: it's totally dumb and corny, but it's also super self aware of that and fully utilizes such fact to its advantage. It's also shockingly suspenseful, decently acted and has really good effects. And it's SO. MUCH. FUN to watch.

If you ask why I watched this movie so far away from Valentine's Day, I did it out of nostalgia, as this was one of the 1st horror movies I watched with friends, and I had very fond memories of doing so, but had never gone back to see it again. This might be the only slasher remake of the 2000's that I legitimately enjoyed. (Granted, I've never seen the original My Bloody Valentine, but I don't need to, given that this version is as badass as it is.)

Everybody, do yourselves a favor and watch it. If you did and disliked it, YOU'RE WRONG. And that scene with the leprechaun and the whore is the greatest scene in cinematic history.

So my friend and I are at the campus cinema and they're advertising Won't You Be My Neighbour which they're bringing back in December. I point it out and I'm like "my god I want to see that one really bad"

and he looks at the picture and is like "is that a horror movie?"

I'm like what the actual fuck dude is that a HORROR MOVIE?

Apparently he's never ever heard of Mr. Rogers and thought he looked creepy.

So, Infinity War is the rare film that has gotten better for me the longer I’ve sat on it.

A lot of my issues I’ve looked over more, idk if my grade would be brought up to an A, but certainly a B+.  Almost a full letter grade higher than my initial one.

Depending on the quality of the rest of the movies I watch, it may make a showing at the Bamboo Awards.

Granted, I still have a lengthy list of movies I need to see:

First Reformed

Eighth Grade

Leave No Trace

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

Creed 2

Roma

The Favourite

Mary Poppins Returns

Vice

The Hate U Give

First Man

Isle of Dogs

Can You Ever Forgive Me?

The Other Side of the Wind

Mary, Queen of Scots

The Rider

Paddingron 2

Plus these that I might catch (won’t end up seeing them all before December 31 obviously, maybe half):

Aquaman

Green Book

Overlord

Bumblebee

Spiderverse

Searching

Love, Simon

Upgrade

Ready Player One

Mid-90s

Unsane

Alpha

Ghost Stories

Tully

The Wife

Boy Erased

Beautiful Boy

The Sisters Brothers

Disobedience

Thoroughbreds

Colette

Cold War

The Old Man and the Gun

Lean on Pete

We the Animals

Hearts Beat Loud

Mandy

Blindspotting

Wildlife

24 Frames

Shoplifters

Anna and the Apocalypse

Destroyer

On The Basis of Sex

In contrast, there wasn't much buzz for Pikachu at my Grindelwald screening. Then again, my crowd was pretty reactionless throughout the whole thing (can't really blame them).

On the way out of that movie last weekend I heard someone say "we should've seen Nobody's Fool instead." Ouch.

I got the Detective Pikachu trailer before my showing of Ralph yesterday and like half the crowd went crazy over it. I'll be legit surprised if it doesn't pull a $100M+ opening at this point.

My audience at Grindelwald was very excited for it.

100 percent i personally think Infinity War in general is being seen better now then at release.

I would say this is true with my friends and what i feel generally.

After the shock ending of infinity war people have proccessed it and realize the film is really enjoyable, a wild ride and memorable. Thanos has already become one of the iconic villians of the decade.

I have seen it twice at home and each time it gets better.
