Ah, so an IT recruiter team reached out with "Do you want to work.....for Facebook in San (somewhere, I legit don't remember, but it's the highest cost of living in the country in CA)."

 

Ah...80k a year would be great anywhere else in the country but not in San Somewhere for one person, right? I think 27k/yr alone would be housing.

Probably. I don't live there at all anymore (And even then I lived in the Mojave Desert) so I have very little housing or cost knowledge about San Francisco (had to relook at the job description).

Also I’m assuming Cody Fern got in for that latest season on American Horror Story but he might have given the best performance on The Assassination of Gianni Versace. One of Ryan Murphy’s better discoveries in some time. The Emmys snubbing him for Ricky Martin’s terrible performance from the same show is gonna go down as one of their more annoying snubs for me.

Never really got the hype over him. Of course I didn't really love either of the Netflix movies he's in. Also I'm not a 14-year old girl. That probably plays a part.

He won’t be giving Chalamet any competition in the quest to win an Oscar but he’s definitely very likable. For some actors, that’s more than enough.

What is it about these minority-led blockbusters that just brings out the ugly side in fan communities? Especially female-led ones. It’s like they’re actively trying to reinforce the notion of “fanboys = misogynists.”

A large portion of the Internet, especially outside of Twitter/FB Internet, fanboys (not necessarily fans of whatever franchise) are privileged white males who grew up seeing all their heroes also being privileged white males.  Whenever a movie comes along giving a major role to a minority, they’ll take it as a subconscious attack on their power and privilege.

 

And also, just by me saying this I’m sure I’m going to provoke about 4-5 of them lurking here in
