WOW - EAGLES WIN! Thank you Cody Parkey for delivering for your former team when they weren't good enough to win it for themselves!

Eagles should look great next week, b/c they have nothing to lose - they were OUT, but Parkey saved them!

My heart can't take endings like that.

It was a miracle...and one finally not delivered by St Nick (who didn't have a great game - his WRs took a ton of hits and made some amazing catches on some pretty weak or too high throws)...

So, I have to take back my rag on Cody...it turns out an Eagles defender tipped the FG ever so slightly...ESPN has the video...now, if they or the Eagles could name the player, so we know who today's hero really was, that'd be great (since his number is obscured in the video by other players:)...

All the handwringing over the Golden Globe winners has made me come to the realization that 2018 was really not that great of a year for movies after having seen pretty much everything (Destroyer will be the last movie from the year that I’ll see before the deadline for the Top 25/BOFFYs). It was a good year overall, but I gave out an A or A- to only 14 movies out of 80 that I saw. And most of the nominees at the big shows this year won’t be making my BOFFYs ballot. Eh.

Have to agree.  While I do love Blindspotting as my number 1 pick, my top 5 probably felt like my weakest top 5 since I started doing rankings in 2012.

But the overall crop felt very solid, there were movies that didn’t make my top 25 that would have in the other years (like A Quiet Place).

2018 was a very blockbuster centric year....

Films like IW and BP really sucked up a ton of the attention for the first half of the year and it films like A Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody, A Quiet Place and Crazy Rich Asians broke out but are not really 'spectacular films'
